Aurélien David's research work focuses on III-Nitride device physics and optics, LED efficiency, and color science. It has led to several demonstrations of record-high performance LED devices and to their commercialization. He currently leads a device development team at Google. Prior, he was Chief Scientist at Soraa, where he led the R&D effort. He is a Fellow of Optica.
