We provide visa support to the ICNS-14 attendees who need a Japan visa to attend the conference. Please read the information below carefully and proceed with the visa support request, if necessary. The number of days required to apply for a VISA depends on the case, but we recommend that you apply at least one month in advance. The VISA is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, so we recommend that you apply as soon as possible.

Who needs a Japan visa

If the country of your nationality (not of your residence) is on the list, you are NOT REQUIRED a visa to enter Japan.

What type of visa you should obtain

The most appropriate visa type for conference attendance is a short-term business visa.

What kind of visa support we provide

We will provide the following visa supporting documentation that is required for your business visa application: Letter of Invitation, Letter of Guarantee, Itinerary in Japan, and Inviter's Certificate of Employment. Those will be provided by email in PDF format. Please submit the ones printed out on your end to the embassy/consulate of your application. If they request the original papers, which is rare though, please contact us so that we can send them by postal mail.

When and how to make a request

The online form for visa support request is available from early August to October. We strongly encourage you to contact the embassy/consulate of your application for their processing time if you are not sure, and submit your request with enough time to spare. You will receive our documents within 5 business days after making a request.

To make a request, please submit the required information through the online request form. Please note that prior to the submission, you need to:
(1) complete your conference registration and payment
(2) prepare the following information
- applicant's profile (name, date of birth, occupation) including your accompanying persons
- applicant's passport photocopy including your accompanying persons
- flights to/from Japan
- hotels in Japan (name, address, phone)
- contact in Japan
